Rising Australian actress Teresa Palmer will join the likes of Sibylla Budd and Marcus Graham to judge a competition for budding TV producers and writers.
December Boys star Palmer will help decide the judges choice award for the Optus One80 Project in February next year.
The competition gives the winner the chance to have a three-minute pilot made into a full length drama on MTV.
Palmer is set to become an even bigger name following the release of her new movie on Boxing Day called Bedtime Stories.
The LA based movie actor stars alongside Adam Sandler, Courtney Cox and Guy Pearce in the film.

While her big Hollywood break, Bedtime Stories, isn’t released until Boxing Day, the homegrown starlet told Confidential yesterday she was determined to take part in an action scene with fantasy flicks star Adam Sandler because, “Why not?”.
“They had a stuntwoman on hand to take over but I wanted to do it – it’s the true Aussie way,” she said.
“It was this massive red horse that I was meant to jump up onto but I just couldn’t do it, so they ended up attaching me to this big machine that swung me up as the horse ran past.”
On December 3rd, Teresa attended Cartier Christmas Party in Sydney. She looks so naturally stunning!
I have added 5 new stills of Miss Palmer in Bedtime Stories. While I’m not particularly excited for the film itself, I just love all the cute costumes she gets to dawn!
I’ve just come across a wonderful set out outtakes of Miss Palmer taken for the 2007 magazine Allure. This is by far one of my most favorite photoshoots ever! Teresa channels old school glamour so amazingly, I can hardly believe these didn’t end up in the magazine! Many thanks to Mariana for her help!
More pleasant surprises! Miss Palmer is featured in Interview December 2008 with Cate Blanchett on the cover.
She’s featured with two new gorgeous pictures. She talks about some of her earlier projects and says that she used to work at a local mall dressed up as Strawerry Shortcake. And she talks about the upcoming Bedtime Stories.
My character is really famous and has great clothes. In real life, I’m always in tracksuits and never wear make-up.
I literally screamed a little when I discovered Miss Palmer was featured in the December issue of Vanity Fair magazine, with Kate Winslet on it’s cover.
She’s featured as the “Vanities” girl in a new and totally gorgeous photoshoot that’s definitely already registering as an absolute favorite, especially the first pic. Since 1992, the magazine’s Vanities section has opened with a full-page portrait of a promising young star, most recently in a retro 50s-style pinup shot. The shapely ingénues featured are on the cusp of fame or have just hit it big; they have names you need to know and faces you won’t have trouble remembering. I think it’s safe to say Teresa more than meets that criteria!
Age: 22. Provenance: Adelaide, Australia. From Retail to International Rights … As a teen, she left her job at a local clothing store to make the low-budget film 2:37, which was accepted into the Cannes Film Festival. “It was such a pinch-yourself moment,” says Palmer. “The highlight of my career so far.” Enter Sandman: Palmer landed her breakthrough role, in this month’s Bedtime Stories, by impressing its star, Adam Sandler. “I got a call saying, ‘Adam wants to meet you now. You’ve got half an hour,’” remembers Palmer. “I was at Starbucks in my sweatpants.” Even mum got a little screen time …“My mother came out, and Adam put her in the film! My best friend was on set, and Adam said, ‘Hop in, too. Go for it.’”
Mary surprised me seven cute stills and two gorgeous promo shots of Teresa from Bedtime Stories! I adore the promos so much, Teresa is too cute!
Also the official website is now online.
Rumor has it that Teresa Palmer has been added to the cast of John Eyres’ The Last Warrior alongside Olivier Martinez and Vincent Perez. We’ll keep you updated for a more official word.
An extended Bedtime Stories trailer has been released and it can be viewed in HD over at Yahoo! Movies. It features a couple of new glimpses of our girl, including her in a space costume! Teresa stars alongside Adam Sandler, Keri Russell, Guy Pearce and Lucy Lawless.
